You book an appointment at your local Arnold Clark Service Centre, drop off your car and get on with your busy day. But have you ever wondered what actually happens to your car while we’re taking care of it?
Let’s start with booking your service. You can do it over the phone during opening hours, or anytime, day or night on our website. Our online booking system is linked live to our diaries, letting you see exactly when we have availability, so you’ll know straight away that your booking is confirmed.
Most customers drop their cars off with us, and by prior arrangement, we can deliver you somewhere nearby, whether it’s to work, to the shops or anywhere else of your choosing. Or, for a small fee, we can arrange for a courtesy car. We also offer the option of collecting your vehicle and then dropping it back off with you at a convenient location as soon as it’s ready. We find a way to work around you.
If you prefer to stay and wait, then we offer a range of delicious refreshments as well as complimentary WiFi so you can stay connected while we work on your car.
As soon as your car is checked in, we’ll get it onto a ramp in our workshop where our specialist technicians will use skills to make sure your car is in full working order. We’ll do the obvious things like changing the oil and checking all the bulbs, but we’ll also carry out a full health check to make sure your car’s safe and carry out any essential maintenance to ensure your car remains in prime condition.
Whether your car is ready to get back on the road or needs some more attention, it will star in a video which we send to you detailing its condition. One of our friendly service advisors will then contact you to let you know when your car will be ready, or to quote for any additional work.
Once the car’s out the workshop, it’s off to our valet bay for a Wash & Vac. We give the car a wash on the outside and vacuum the front footwells leaving it shining and feeling fresh. We’ve even got our own range of air fresheners to add a little extra fragrance to your journey.
When you collect your car and pay the bill, your advisor will walk you back to your car and talk you through the work completed. If you have any questions, they’ll introduce you to the technician who carried out the work and they’ll be happy to help.
If your bill’s a little larger than you’d expected, we offer interest-free payment plans allowing you to spread your bill over six or ten months. It’s one of the things we do to make your life easier.
A few days later, you’ll probably get a survey from us. If you have a few free minutes, we’d love to hear how we’ve done and if there are any areas where you think we can improve to make sure we’re providing the best possible service at all times.
