At Arnold Clark, we do everything we can to keep our employees and customers safe. The COVID-19 situation has created some additional considerations for every area of the Group and our teams across the business along with Safety Support have been following government guidelines and working on robust new health and safety procedures to ensure every person who visits an Arnold Clark site remains as safe as possible.
Whether returning to an Arnold Clark branch or working from home, every employee is required to undertake mandatory training to help them understand the new measures that have been put in place. These cover social distancing, washing hands and cleaning surfaces and the new contactless processes we have put in place. We’ll also ask everyone to familiarise themselves with the new Group risk assessment. These all operate in line with the Group’s new Social Distancing Policy.
Arnold Clark has 13,000 employees working in a huge range of job roles. Risk assessments are being carried out for each area of the business, so we can make sure employees are staying safe in every aspect of their jobs. Employees will be trained in the new risk assessment processes and these will be supervised by department managers.
We’ll remain in constant communication with our employees throughout our restart to ensure they are familiar with our new processes and to find out if they have any concerns or suggestions to help make their jobs safer.
Arnold Clark has sent Trading Standards our new safety to procedures and asked them to monitor compliance with them on their regular site visits. This external monitor ensures that the Group will continue to work to the highest standards to keep both employees and customers safe.
Before they visit an Arnold Clark branch, we’ll inform our customers of what to expect and share our video which shows our latest processes. These can all be found on the coronavirus page of our website.
