The Arnold Clark Electric Motability Experience is taking place next month, giving our Motability customers the opportunity to tour, talk and test-drive the latest electric vehicles on the market.
Being held at the Arnold Clark Innovation Centre on Friday, June 17th, between 8am and 6pm, customers can sign up for free and find out more about the Motability scheme, which helps you get mobile by exchanging your qualifying mobility allowance for a new, affordable car.
Customers who sign up for the event can select a two-hour slot which will be split up into three different parts.
Firstly, customers will be given an in-depth tour of the Arnold Innovation Centre to learn about how electric is shaping the future of driving and to get tips for charging at home or on the road.
Next, there will be a Q&A session with our Innovation Centre geniuses to discuss all things electric.
There will be an opportunity to speak to six of our leading electric manufacturers. Our Motability specialists will also be on hand to chat about what adaptions could be made to the cars to suit your lifestyle.
Finally, customers will have the chance to test-drive an electric car of your choice. We’ve gathered the most popular electric and hybrid vehicles available on the Motability scheme, so there’s plenty to choose from.
Throughout the event, light refreshments and seating areas will be available. You can also start the exciting process of ordering your new car right there and then.
Thinking of making the switch to electric?
The Arnold Clark Innovation Centre opened last year on Dumbarton Road in Glasgow’s West End with the aim of educating visitors about the benefits of alternative fuel vehicles and why they are becoming so important.
There are more than 60 vehicles on site available to test-drive, from plug-in and self-charging hybrids to fully electric vehicles.
There are no sales at the site, which is specifically an innovation, information, and educational centre.
You can also learn about the different types of charging and generous government tax and grants available if you're thinking of moving to electric.
Please make sure to provide your DVLA code to test-drive any vehicles on-site. A member of our team will send a follow up after the booking takes place.
Cars at the centre will not have been adapted in any way, so depending on your personal circumstances, test drives may not be feasible on the day of the event. However, our experienced Motability specialists will be on hand to chat you through what adaptions could be made to the cars to suit you.
If you require additional people to assist you throughout the day, there’s no need to reserve extra tickets. We will be in contact with you prior to the event, simply let us know at this point and we will make accommodations for this.
