What if something goes wrong?

All Arnold Clark vehicles receive a comprehensive pre-delivery inspection, conducted by our experienced service technicians.

In the unlikely event that something does go wrong, we supply all our vehicles with one of the following:

Original manufacturer warranty

Your car will be covered for at least 60 days or more by your vehicle’s manufacturer.

If your vehicle has only one month of original manufacturer warranty remaining, then Arnold Clark will top up this to make sure you’re covered for the remaining days up to 60 days*

OR

A hassle-free, 60-day
vehicle warranty

The warranty period is for 60 days from the date of delivery or 4,000 miles, whichever comes first.*

What does the Arnold Clark warranty cover?

The 60-day Arnold Clark warranty applies to used vehicles outside of the original manufacturer warranty, or with less than 60 days of original manufacturer warranty remaining.

Terms and conditions

*The warranty period is for 60 days from the date of delivery or 4,000 miles, whichever comes first. However, if you are just outside of the 60-day period, please call us to discuss your options.

Should any mechanical or electrical component prove to be defective, remedial work will be undertaken if we consider it to be necessary. The warranty excludes defects deemed to be a result of fair wear and tear.

If you consider your vehicle defective, you should contact the branch you purchased your vehicle from or call our dedicated call centre on 0141 483 5706 to arrange a vehicle inspection. If you live more than 25 miles from that branch, you can ask to have your vehicle inspected at one of our branches closer to your home.

If you live more than 25 miles from one of our branches, contact our dedicated call centre on 0141 483 5706 to arrange an appointment at an Arnold Clark approved garage closer to you. In such instances an estimate must be obtained and provided to the warranty team advisor handling your issue. Only when authorisation has been provided by the advisor can the repair proceed. All work must be undertaken in your name only, with the receipted account or invoice forwarded to the advisor, accompanied by the vehicle and warranty details.

Vehicles used for hire or reward are excluded from this warranty (including but not limited to taxis, minicabs, rental vehicles and driving school vehicles).

In the event of remedial work, as per the warranty, a loan car will only be provided when availability permits and at the sole discretion of the general or sales manager. Any associated costs incurred will not be accepted as part of any warranty claim.

This warranty applies to the UK only.

Your statutory rights as a customer are not affected by the above terms and conditions.
