Arnold Clark is delighted to have been honoured at this year's Auto Trader Retailer Awards.

The company picked up the 'Innovation' prize for the second year in a row at last week's prestigious awards ceremony in London.

Having won the same category in 2022, Arnold Clark was recognised for 'successfully implementing an innovation that’s bettered their business in the last year.'

In July 2022, Arnold Clark opened a second Innovation Centre in Stafford, England, following the success of its first site in Glasgow.

At the Innovation Centres, visitors can find out about the benefits of alternative fuel vehicles and why they are becoming so important.

Visitors can also learn about the different types of charging and generous government tax and grants available for those thinking of moving to electric.

Arnold Clark recently announced plans to install over 500 electric vehicle chargers across the UK in an investment worth £23 million.

Arnold Clark customers will have access to the 'Arnold Clark Charge' network, which will be available to book safely and securely on a 24/7 basis.

The Group also acquired Scottish-based electric vehicle charge point installers, Bumblebee.

From solar powered to smart home wall chargers, Bumblebee have the ability to install every OZEV-approved charge point on the UK market.

Hazel Shields, Innovation Centre Manager, said: 'It's an honour to pick up this award for the second year in a row.

'Our teams at both the Glasgow and Stafford Innovation Centres work extremely hard to create a space where our customers can learn more about how new technology is shaping the way we drive.

'As a company, Arnold Clark has always shown a commitment to innovation and we're really excited to continue with our journey to electric, which will include the roll-out of the Arnold Clark Charge network.'

Auto Trader’s Chief Executive Officer, Nathan Coe, added: 'We were delighted to come together under one roof in the capital and put on an incredible event for our automotive retail partners to recognise the very best in the industry.

'All these retailers, brands and individuals inspire others in the industry on a daily basis and set the bar for all retailers across all sectors.

'The industry has and is changing at a pace, but again, we see the huge innovation and agility of retailers, so it’s a privilege to be able to celebrate those businesses that are truly driving our industry forward for the benefit of both their counterparts and their customers.'
