Our wellbeing hub, Space, can help with everything from financial wellbeing to looking after your physical and mental health. We want all our staff to expand their knowledge and continue challenging themselves; that’s why we offer training and support to each of our employees, so they can grow and develop in their current roles and take on even more exciting opportunities for the future.
We also understand that every industry, and regulations within those industries, change at a fast pace, so training helps us stay ahead of the pack. To help us achieve this, we have three GTG Training centres in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Wolverhampton. At Arnold Clark, we support not only our customers, but our wider communities too. In 2021, we launched our Community Fund to help provide financial help to community groups and charities throughout the UK. Our branches and their local areas are an important part of everyday life at Arnold Clark, so it’s vital that we give back to our local schools, charities and sports teams and continue to find new ways to help where we can. We also encourage our employees to give back to their communities and encourage them to help and get involved in different community groups.
At Arnold Clark, ensuring our employees can enjoy a safe and comfortable working environment is vital. To support this, we have set up our own internal support network, Drive Together, to give our LGBTQ+ employees and their allies the support and space they need to discuss issues relating to them.
Our Drive Together network review all our people policies to make sure they are gender neutral and inclusive of all our employees. We have also recently introduced a ‘Transitioning at Work’ policy so that our employees have all the support they need throughout this time. New employees can also join this network from day one; we always want to hear new voices and suggestions on how we can keep improving our workplace.
Each year, we walk, drive and dance in Pride parades across the country while showing our support to LGBTQ+ causes. We also give our employees the opportunity to celebrate, recognise, and learn about the LGBTQ+ community by allowing them to join us at any event.
