What would the Star Wars characters drive?
We didn’t want to make any character feel left out, without a car of their own, so we decided to write Part II of this series.
The bounty hunter would certainly appreciate the SEAT’s excellent build quality and style, which matches his own distinctive Mandalorian armour. It will be amazing if Boba Fett could get this car in the exact shade of green as his helmet too! We are not sure how much he earned while working for Jabba The Hut but we are sure of the SEAT’s low running costs (especially if Boba Fett goes for the 1.6-litre engine with Ecomotive technology).
Speaking of Jabba The Hut, we thought he would love riding in this van. Although he can surely afford something more expensive, we think that the Ford Transit might be one of the few vehicles big enough for him. Perhaps the Tatoonie crime lord would love to chill in the back while one of his loyal servants drives him around so that he can run his errands. But if Jabba gets any bigger, he might need the XXL model.
We think the i8 is definitely fit for an emperor. It’s an amazing hybrid with a 1.5-litre turbo engine and an electric motor located at the front. As you can imagine, this combination gives the i8 instant acceleration and it reaches 0–62mph in a speedy 4.4 seconds, giving the Emperor almost out-of-this-world speed. Not to mention that he will be able to recharge it with Force Lightening!
Kylo Ren is dangerous, very skilled with his lightsaber and wears black head to toe. Like Kylo, the Toyota GT86 boasts brilliant handling and aggressive styling (and we’ve picked it in black of course). We’re sure that Kylo Ren revving the 2.0-litre boxer engine of the GT86 is every Jedi’s nightmare for sure!
Hands down, Poe Dameron is the best pilot ever. We have no doubt that he will practise his skills behind the wheel of the DS3 too. This model is fun to drive, is efficient and committed to delivering the best driving experience – just as Poe Dameron is committed to serving the Resistance. Also, this model offers a lot of opportunities for personalisation and we think Poe would love that.
Rey is one of the newest characters in Star Wars but she knows her way around! She is fearless and we are pretty sure she can fight anyone. The Duster is a good pick for her as it is big enough to fit her pal BB-8. It also won’t have any problem cruising through the sands of Jakku as the Duster has impressive bodywork and a very stable frame. Somehow we think she will fancy the Dacia Duster in brown too…
This one was a no-brainer. Apart from the obvious resemblance, the Twizy and BB8 are relatively new add-ons to Renault and Star Wars, respectively. They are both bouncy, bright and really cool. We think the Twizy is the easiest car to drive out there (all you have to do is hit the ‘Drive’ button). Our only concern is that half of BB8 might be sticking out of the car…
With Kylo Ren in the GT86, Finn will have a task on his hands to keep up with the Scirocco, but you can’t deny that it has a certain charm. And it might just surprise us since it features the punchy 2.0 TDI diesel. We had to go with white for the colour as it matches Finn’s Stormtrooper armour. The Scirocco is a great car to go with Finn’s undeniable intelligence and bravery.
