We have 133 Jeep Avenger cars in stock!
The Jeep Avenger is a subcompact crossover SUV. It combines style, functionality, performance and innovative technology in a robust, all-terrain, fully electric vehicle. Marking Jeep’s first entry into the electric car market, the Avenger made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October 2022 before its release in January 2023.
In its first year of production, it scooped European Car of the Year 2023, World’s Best Family SUV and Electric Car of the Year.
Boasting Jeep’s bold exterior styling, the Avenger is compact and agile. It is perfect for around-town manoeuvring and is also a rugged and capable off-roader with the power and torque to handle all driving conditions. It has a 248-mile range, making it efficient and ideal for longer journeys.
Fun, practical and comfortable with a generous boot space, the Jeep Avenger perfectly competes in the rapidly growing B-SUV market. Rivals include the Peugeot e-2008, Vauxhall Mokka-e, Hyundai Kona Electric, Kia e-Niro, and the MG ZS EV.
Jeep Avenger updates and facelifts
Launched with purely battery-electric power, the Avenger will be made available in 2024 with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder PureTech petrol engine paired with a manual transmission.
There is also a four-wheel drive version in the pipeline. While there are no specifications yet for the 4x4, Jeep plans to badge it as the 4xe. This suggests it is a plug-in hybrid with a 1.2-litre petrol engine powering the front wheels and an electric motor at the rear.
Practicality and style of the car
The Jeep Avenger has a functional and spacious interior thanks to its 4,084mm length and 1,776mm width, making it 127mm wider than the MG ZS EV. With space for five adults, it is sizable for a subcompact SUV yet retains a compact footprint. The standard boot capacity is a generous 355 litres with the rear seats in place, providing 45 litres of extra capacity compared to Vauxhall’s Mokka-e. Folding down the rear seats offers a maximum capacity of 1,053 litres, allowing plenty of room for two large suitcases or a folded buggy. The Avenger’s cabin also offers an impressive 34 litres of interior storage.
Running costs
As a subcompact SUV crossover, the Jeep Avenger sits in insurance groups 24 or 25, depending on the trim level, giving it similar ratings to the 48kWh Hyundai Kona Electric and the Peugeot e-2008. As a fully electric vehicle, the Jeep Avenger is exempt from road tax.
How a used Jeep Avenger drives
The single electric powertrain of the Jeep Avenger comprises a 54kWh battery pack and a single electric motor mounted on the front axle, offering an output of 156bhp and 260Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 9.6 seconds and has a top speed of 93mph.
The Avenger feels and performs differently depending on its driving modes, which recalibrate the ESP (electronic stability program), accelerator and steering weight. Normal mode will give you an output of 110bhp, while the Eco mode caps power at 80bhp to preserve its battery life and increase range.
In addition to its Eco, Normal and Sport drive modes, the Avenger is equipped with Mud, Sand and Snow settings and a hill descent system, making it suitable to adapt to all driving conditions and terrains.
The Avenger benefits from the EV expertise of Jeep’s parent company, Stellantis, which has a new e-CMP2 modular electric platform. This technology gives it a WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) range of up to 248 miles from its 54kWh battery with an efficient 4.03 miles/kWh.
The battery supports 100kW DC fast charging, which recharges the battery from 20% capacity to 80% in 24 minutes, or 11kW AC charging, allowing a 0-80% charge in five-and-a-half hours.
The Avenger’s transmission is a single-speed automatic with front-wheel drive, providing reliability and easier maintenance than a dual-motor vehicle.
Features you can expect in a Jeep Avenger
Interior
The interior of a Jeep Avenger has a quality feel, with the overall design balancing functionality and style. The smart and modern dashboard reflects its striking exterior looks, and the eye-catching body-coloured insert and multi-coloured ambient lights offer a quality, contemporary appearance.
The dashboard, steering wheel and centre console have a high quality, solid feel, and the sturdy black plastic throughout the interior provides rugged practicality.
It has a roomy interior with enough headroom and legroom to comfortably fit a car full of adults on a short trip. The front seats are spacious and comfortable, and the upholstery is a hardwearing, premium fabric. The back seats fold down in a handy 60/40 split, providing plenty of space for a full-sized bike while also carrying passengers in the rear.
There is ample cabin storage thanks to deep door pockets and a large central cubby between the two front seats, providing 15 litres of extra capacity to house a small bag or large water bottle. There is also a wireless charging cubby for a mobile phone and a handy shelf in the dashboard to keep keys, sunglasses and wallets in sight. The centre console has movable dividers that offer an ideal cup-holder space.
Other features include a front passenger grab handle, three rear headrests and USB-C charging sockets. There are also three sets of ISOFIX mounting points – one on the front passenger seat and the outer rear seats – making it ideal for young families.
Technology
Infotainment is accessed via two 10.25-inch digital panels, and connectivity is guaranteed with standard-fit wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The digital gauge cluster has an easy-to-read screen, even in bright sunlight. Shortcut buttons for the infotainment system bring added convenience, as does the button that takes you to Jeep’s driver assistance technology.
The Avenger boasts Level 2 autonomous driving, which means it can handle both steering and accelerating/decelerating. Driver features include cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, drowsiness detection, traction control, lane keeping assist and rear parking sensors.
The mid-range Altitude trim has added adaptive cruise control, while the top-of-the-range Summit features lane centring, traffic-jam assist and a 180-degree rear-view camera and automatic high/low beam.
Safety
NCAP has not yet tested the Avenger. Jeep has a strong safety record, with many of its models achieving four or five-star ratings, so you can expect the Avenger to be a safe car thanks to its safety features and pedigree. As standard, the Avenger is equipped with six airbags, three sets of ISOFIX mounts and autonomous emergency braking, which recognises pedestrians and cyclists. An upgrade to the more expensive Altitude model offers radar-guided cruise control.
