26 used Land Rover Range Rover Evoque cars in stock

First launched in 2011, the Range Rover Evoque is a luxury compact SUV and one of Land Rover’s best-selling models. Combining practicality and luxurious design, the Evoque is just as capable of cruising over long distances as it is navigating tight country roads. With competitor models like the Porsche Macan and Volvo XC40 all vying to be the top car in the C vehicle class, the Evoque’s lasting popularity speaks volumes.

Range Rover Evoque updates and facelifts

Available with three or five doors and as a coupe or convertible, its practicality makes it a great match for families and anyone looking for a spacious SUV. The Evoque’s striking appearance positions it as a truly luxurious car. It underwent a facelift in 2019 which gave it a futuristic look with new front and rear bumpers, a larger front grille and stylised headlights, as well as a bolder rear spoiler to further enhance its appearance.

With the release of the Mk2 in 2019, Land Rover also added new hybrid engines to the line-up and a longer wheelbase that pushes the Evoque’s fuel consumption levels and adds more legroom to the cabin. The model is available in four main trims. Offering a rewarding drive and ample comfort, the Range Rover Evoque’s well-earned reputation as a leading premium SUV means it continues to be a highly attractive model.

Practicality and style of the car

Step inside the Range Rover Evoque and you’ll quickly realise that this is a car of both substance and style. Practicality is built into its design, with ample cabin space and adaptability making it just as suited to quiet drives as it is to family adventures. The Mk2’s wheelbase of 2,681mm is 105mm longer than the Mk1. And, with a width of 1,996mm, the Evoque is 86mm wider than the Volvo XC40, rivalling the width of the BMW X2 for interior space.

The Evoque also offers plenty of boot space. The Mk2 has 472 litres of boot space with the seats up, which is more than the BMW X2’s 410 litres. Fold the rear seats down, and available space expands to 1,156 litres – more than enough for large suitcases and bags. The Mk1 Range Rover Evoque from 2011-2019 has 575 litres of boot space with the rear seats up and 1,445 litres with the seats down.

As you’d expect from Land Rover, the Evoque doesn’t disappoint when it comes to towing power either. Its ready-made electrical towbar can pull a minimum unbraked trailer of up to 750kg, while a Range Rover Evoque with a diesel engine and automatic gearbox can tow as much as 2,000kg.

When it comes to interior storage, all passengers have a good selection of door bins and storage trays to help keep the cabin looking smart and tidy. There are four large storage bins for the front and rear seats, a large compartment under the driver’s armrest and a convenient slot under the front dashboard that can securely hold a phone or handheld device.

Running costs

While the exact insurance group of a used Range Rover Evoque will vary depending on the trim, engine size and body type you choose, the car’s insurance group typically starts at 25, with top-end trims, such as the HSE, falling into group 40. Entry-level trims typically face an annual road tax of £180, while for top-level trims like the HST, it is £570.

How a used Range Rover Evoque drives

A standout feature of the Evoque is its wide range of powerful engines. While the exact engine range varies depending on vehicle age, there are three petrol engines which are commonly featured in a used Range Rover Evoque from 2019 onwards.

The first, the P200, is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine that produces 197bhp, 30.7mpg and can accelerate from 0-62mph in 8.5 seconds. The P250 is a turbocharged 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine that generates 247bhp, 30.4mpg and accelerates from 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds. The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder P300 engine creates 296bhp, 30.3mpg and accelerates to 62mph in 6.4 seconds.

The Mk1 commonly has a 2.0-litre Si4 petrol engine. This engine produces around 230bhp and accelerates to 62mph in 7.3 seconds and has a fuel consumption of 38.7mpg

Most diesel engines available on a used Range Rover Evoque are also 2.0-litre engines. Depending on the age of the vehicle, a used Evoque could come with a four-cylinder D165 turbocharged engine that produces 161bhp, achieves 46.7mpg and accelerates from 0-62mph in 10.1 seconds or a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, D200 engine that generates 201bhp, 43.5-43.8mpg and does 0-62mph in 8.5 seconds.

Some Mk1 used Evoque cars will come with a 2.0-litre eD4 E-Capability diesel, which produces around 147bhp, accelerates to 62mph in 11.2 seconds and has a top speed of 113mph. This engine can achieve 47.9-48.7mpg.

Drivers opting for a Mk2 Evoque from 2019 onwards can also choose a P300e plug-in petrol hybrid engine, which offers drivers excellent fuel economy and enhanced acceleration. The P300e combines a 197bhp, 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with a 107bhp, 540Nm electric motor, which achieves a combined 304bhp. This can reach 84mph on electric power alone and accelerate from 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds. The P300e has an extremely impressive range of 34 miles on pure electric power and a quoted 201.8-209.6mpg, offering a very fuel-efficient drive.

When looking for a Range Rover Evoque for sale, you’ll find different transmission options available, including a nine-speed automatic from 2019 onwards, while models manufactured between 2011-2019 offer a six-speed manual transmission.

Features you can expect in a Range Rover Evoque

Interior

Offering style, comfort and smart technology, the Evoque’s interior and exterior quality stand out. On the road, its tilted windshield, front grille, narrow headlights and smoothed edges are instantly recognisable.

The cabin is equally impressive down to every detail, with top-quality materials throughout. Used Evoques made from 2019 onwards feature a luxurious, glossy finish over the leather steering wheel and driver’s dashboard, with quality upholstery and stitching adding to the premium cabin design. While most Evoques are typically black across the interior and exterior, opting for the R-Dynamic S trim adds burnished copper to interior surfaces. The HST trim adds red brake callipers for even more styling.

Most Range Rover Evoque models come with a multi-functional steering wheel. Buttons and switches on the wheel are conveniently arranged, giving the driver the freedom to enhance their drive at any time by effortlessly activating a range of smart features and technology, such as seat heating or premium LED headlights.

Complementing the 10-inch digital dashboard display available in top-level trims of the Mk1 and as standard in the Mk2, a used Mk2 Evoque will include an additional digital driving display. The customisable display contains key driving information, such as mpg and driving distance, as well as giving drivers satellite navigation.

Technology

The centre console in the 2019 generation Evoque has a crisp 10-inch display. It is home to the revamped infotainment system, which is powered by Pivi or Pivi Pro software. This screen comes with Range Rover’s Touch Pro system, which is a quality upgrade over many competitors’ infotainment systems. It offers the driver improved connectivity thanks to Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and can be used to activate the Evoque’s excellent Meridian sound system – which is included in flagship trims.

The streamlined menu is very easy to navigate, and Pivi Pro updates itself automatically thanks to the over-the-air connection, so drivers always have an up-to-date infotainment display ready to go. The Evoque also benefits from top-tier cabin technology. Many smart features include keyless entry, premium LED headlights, heated front seats and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror for added comfort.

Safety

A reversing camera, front and rear parking assistance, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking and cruise control with speed limiter all help keep the Evoque safe. For this reason, the Evoque has a full five-star Euro NCAP safety rating with a 94% adult occupancy score and an 87% score for child passenger protection. Drivers opting for the R-Dynamic trim will also receive blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control and high-speed emergency braking as part of their safety package.
