The EQB debuted at Auto Shanghai 2021 Hailed by many prominent motoring magazines as one of Mercedes-Benz's best electric cars. It offers premium features, including the brand’s distinctive and eye-catching design, high-quality interior and the latest advanced intelligent driving technology.

As a mid-sized EV that can seat up to seven people, it ticks all the boxes. It is a luxurious yet practical, people carrier that neither Audi, BMW nor Jaguar can rival.

The EQB has two models available – the 225bhp EQB 300 and the 288bhp EQB 350. Both cars have a 66.5kWh battery and a pair of electric motors providing 4MATIC all-wheel drive.

The EQB’s standard equipment is exceptional, with parts and features that are well-built and easy to use. It has a spacious interior, slick infotainment system and impressive safety features.

The EQB measures 4,687mm long by 1,834mm wide and stands 1,667mm tall. With its high roofline, Mercedes-Benz has designed the EQB to be as practical as possible. he EQB’s shape has allowed Mercedes to include seven seats as standard, making it a unique proposition in the small electric SUV category. The 7 seat Tesla Model X is 349mm longer and 332mm wider.

Its middle-row space seats tall adults with plenty of headroom. The third row is perfect for children or adults under 5ft 4in. This gives the EQB an edge over some of its closest rivals. The Audi Q4 e-tron and Volvo XC40 Recharge do not offer this capability.

The EQB offers a generous boot size of 465 litres with five seats in place. A big step up from the 340-litre boot in Mercedes’ EQA model. Folding down the second and third rows will give you 1,710 litres of storage. This is on a par with a large estate car’s capacity. It offers plenty of room for luggage, fold down buggies, bicycles, or sports equipment. In terms of its competitors, the EQB offers 382 litres more boot space with the seats down than the Volvo XC40 Recharge. It has 220 litres more than the Audi Q4 e-tron and 150 litres more than the BMW iX3.
