The Dacia Sandero Stepway is a five-door crossover SUV. Thanks to its stylish looks and top-tier practicality, it is a popular SUV. The Sandero Stepway continues to offer drivers comfort and convenience at an affordable price.

The Stepway was launched in the UK in 2013, adding a host of smart features and revised design features to the original Dacia Sandero model. Compared to its predecessor, the Stepway sits higher on the road and has a bulkier outer design. It also boasts revised styling touches, including new head and rear lights and a revamped front grille for added front profile styling.

The Dacia Sandero Stepway has a range of petrol and petrol LPG (liquified petroleum gas) engines helping drive its fuel economy. Petrol LPG engines are also sometimes referred to as ‘dual fuel’ or ‘Bi-Fuel’ cars. With enough power and efficiency for both city driving and long distances, the Stepway’s engines are perfectly suited to a variety of different drives.

The Dacia Sandero Stepway rivals other spacious and practical family SUVs, such as the Toyota Aygo X and Nissan Juke. Through its combination of efficient performance for good value, the Stepway has plenty to offer.

The Stepway was first introduced in 2013 as a larger version of the subcompact Dacia Sandero. Compared to its predecessor, the Stepway sits higher off the ground, has larger wheels, reworked front and rear bumpers and enhanced styling. The Mk1 received a facelift in 2017, adding new materials to the interior, a chrome-effect trim to the exterior and a newly styled steering wheel.

The Mk2 Stepway launched in 2020, bringing new technology, including an eight-inch infotainment screen to certain trims, and a revamped interior and exterior style.

The Stepway’s top-level practicality is one of the model’s standout features. The Mk2 is also 18mm longer and 87mm wider than the Mk1 adding to its comfortable cabin.

The Stepway measures up well to its rivals, too. It is 142mm taller, 113mm wider and 259mm longer than the Suzuki Swift. It is also 48mm wider than the Nissan Juke’s width of 1,800mm and 78mm wider than the Peugeot 2008’s width of 1,770mm.

With one of the more spacious cabins in the crossover SUV class, a used Dacia Sandero Stepway offers plenty of boot space as well. There are 328 litres of boot space as standard, while by folding down the rear seats, you can create a space of 1,108 litres – much more than the Suzuki Swift’s 579 litres.
